Greenskies 2009 Speakers

 

Greenskies will again bring together key aviation experts and industry leaders to consider environmental issues and their impact, discuss research and development initiatives and learn about advancements in aircraft technology to further reduce aircraft carbon emissions.

Topics include Carbon Offsets, Emission Trading Schemes, Intergovernmental Policies, Taxes, Airspace Efficiency, New Engine and Aircraft Technology, and Alternate Fuels.

Tony Jones – Master of Ceremonies

Tony Jones is one of the ABC's most respected journalists, with more than 20 years experience in radio and television news and current affairs.  He has worked on programs including AM, PM, The World Today, Four Corners, Lateline and Foreign Correspondent  In 2004, he received a Walkley for best ‘Broadcast Interviewing’, for a series of Lateline interviews.  He has won a number of awards for his current affairs coverage, including a Walkley award, a Penguin Award, a Gold Medal for a story on the exploitation of Antarctica and a Silver Medal for best foreign coverage in the New York Film and Television Festival.  In mid 1998 Tony returned to Four Corners.
